In most states it's "B", that's when they start their processing..... When they get paid!

I'd think that it starts when they get your completed packet, with fingerprints, picture, etc. When I renewed last year, I had my new license within the time frame they said. If you sent in a packet after the elections, it may take a bit longer as lots of folks are going for licenses... Regardless, it's never as quickly as you'd like. I'm on my 4th renew.. I think the next one is free.... LOL
You can never have "too much" ammo...
Actually, it's when the designee is given your info for review. That can be anytime within the first 30 days! 60 days from then is supposed to be the deadline.
Most think it's 60 days from the date they receive it. If it says processing online, that means the designee received it.
At 73 days house rep called and told me if I didn't have a date from the by the next day at 3pm to call him back. The next morning at 8am DPS called and said they overnighted my license.
They explained about the designee during the phone call and it usually only takes up to 60 days from receiving the info, but the clock doesn't officially start until they give it to the "designee".
My PA license was close to expiration, so my Texas app was about 6 months ago.
