Mine was 30 days two years ago. I don't know if it made any difference but I was traveling a lot and the time between paperwork at the DMV and getting my fingerprints was a month, I don't know if there was a lot of admin work completed or background check, during that time.

Lots of people in various states are now interested in having their CCW permit.
My (FL) renewal took only 10 days 'door to door' a few years ago, but my wife's just took 90 days.

The clerk at the DMV said the wait was running about 3 to 6 months. I hope its not 6 months or im gonna go nuts.

TN has up to 90 days to deliver, I received mine in mid-January this year after a 60 day wait.
Well, it's not any consolation I guess, but I suppose a lot of people are trying to get permits and it's got the system bogged down - I hope that's the case.
I'm too young to be this old!

TN can take up to 90 days. With the mass hysteria ,don't be surprised if it takes the full 90.

Took me and my wife 45 days for ours to arrive. Too darn long if you ask me since the state we moved to Tennessee from, Alabama, took 20 minutes. That is not a typo, 20 minutes.

Im on day 6!Ive heard if you give them a call after 30 days they will issue it in 7 to 14 days.

Almost everyone I know only had to wait about 6 wks. But with the current political picture being what it is, wait times are bananas. I got mine on day 75!

Let me follow up on my last post. I completed all the paperwork with the DMV and did the fingerprint thang on 30 Jan. got my permit last week. The expiration date is in Apr. 2013. So that tells me it took them over 2 months to get through the stack.

I started a while ago and lost my reply so I will start over. The memphis commercial Appeal posted an online list of permit holders 75 or so out of nearly 300,000 permit holders had previous records some of which had been exspounged or pardoned. The paper made a holy mission of this and Gov. Bredesen made the Dept. of Safety check a lot closer. The program is like the instant check program here self sustaining but it seems that the money ends up being placed in the general fund and not where it is supposed to go.
