Still waiting in Arkansas
My brother and I along with one of our neighbors took our ccw class at the same time 1/30/09 and qualified on 1/31/09. I sent the paperwork off on the 31st and have been patiently waiting ever since...I know they cashed our (brothers and mine) on the Wednesday of the first week. I have been being a "mailbox buzzard " for a while but realizing that due to the backlog that it will take a while. Talked to my neighbor tonite and come to find out he got his ccw on 3/20/09!!!!! What gives!!!! I know I sent my paperwork in before his. Just frustrated...anybody else from Arkansas got theirs in a short length of time??? thanks Robbie

Expect the full 120 day wait.
You may get lucky and get it before then but the ASP is literally up to their eyeballs in applications.
I did a class of 47 two weeks ago and a class of 55 this last weekend.
My May class is already full and my June class is half full already. It seems there is no end is sight. All the other instructors I have talked to are experiencing the same thing.
Get comfortable and relax. It could be awhile yet.

I sent in mine at about the same time, if not earlier - I dont have it yet either.
Be patient, I don't expect if for another month maybe. The amount of forms they are having to process has skyrocketed.

Waiting in Arkansas
I don't know about Arkansas but in Oklahoma it took 92 days to get mine. I have a friend who turned his in 2 weeks before me and he was sent a notice two weeks before I got mine saying his fingerprints we done incorrectly. You might check with the state. In Oklahoma you have to wait 105 days before you can call and check to see if there is a problem.

Maybe he sent a bigger cheque than you did.

It will arrive no sooner if you worry about it, relax and stop hovering over the mailbox...very soon, Grasshopper, very soon!

I took the class on 2/21, the ASP received my application on 2/26 according to the return receipt request, cashed the check on 3/4 and now I wait. I'm hoping it's sooner rather than later.
The ASP site says not to contact them until 120 days have passed and then only to e-mail them. You might try contacting your class instructor after another month or so. My instructor (a Sebastian County Sheriff's Deputy) said that after 90 days to contact him and he would check with the state.
