Received my Utah Concealed Firearm Permit today
It's kind of ironic that it came today. I just called the Utah Department of Public Safety to see if I could check the status. I spoke to a very pleasant young woman who said that the status could not be checked but they were taking 95 days send them out. That would have put me sometime around May 1st since I mailed it in around January 19th.

I did the WWW back in January when I received my permit in my home state of Minnesota. Almost got a bingo on the first trip!

Mine expires in August. I intend to renew. Is the license for 5 years now?
Yesterday I sent the renewal for FL. It is now for 7 years, and when it expires I do not think I will need it, but if any just my NM license.
Regards,
Jerry

Congrats on your permit arriving. I mailed my UT CCW application in mid March. I'm waiting patiently for my UT permit to arrive. Enjoy your WW walk. Be safe!

95 days!
http://le.utah.gov/~code/TITLE53/htm/53_05_070400.htm
53-5-704. Division duties -- Permit to carry concealed firearm -- Certification for concealed firearms instructor -- Requirements for issuance -- Violation -- Denial, suspension, or revocation -- Appeal procedure.
(1) (a) The division or its designated agent shall issue a permit to carry a concealed firearm for lawful self defense to an applicant who is 21 years of age or older within 60 days after receiving an application, unless during the 60-day period the division finds proof that the applicant is not of good character.
Utah law says they must issue or deny by 60 days after accepting the application. Utah has defined accepting the application as when they deem it complete and that coincides with charging your credit card.
She must be mistaken or must be including the admin processing time up front which is taking around 2-3 weeks.
With that said, I know they are being slammed with lots of permit applications since November.

That's great!
I am glad you had a good experience with the Utah BCI. I had to talk to the "girl" when they messed up my name on my permit. I try and be as nice as possible to them so it doesn't mess it up for anyone else.
