A "public restroom incident" is what first caused me to consider concealed carry. Went down like this:
I-5 Northbound, just south of Stockton, CA 0300. I was a heavy truck driver and I had a delivery in Tracy, CA at 0415. Drove most of the night and instead of stopping on the side of the road like a grand majority of scumbags, I actually decided to pull in and use the rest area toilet. Was tired but got out, walked over to the restroom building, entered and stepped up to the nasty urinal. Heard someone else enter, stepped up to the urinal and grunted a greeting. I turned my head to respond and was punched in the back of said head by his partner. I went down, and as I tried to shake it off, they went through my pockets (I don't carry anything inside with me except the key to the truck) and then they took off running...didn't take the key to the truck although I had to fish it out of the urinal water....
Called 911 when I was back in the truck. Got local Sheriff's Department. Couldn't help me but since it was a rest area, transferred me to CHP. Operator took my info and said we will dispatch someone. Waited 1 1/2 hours. Called back. Still no one available. Asked to speak to watch commander. Got some flunkie instead who asked me: "Were you buying drugs or soliciting homosexual favors in there? Which one?" Hung up on him. Trust in cops for a LONG time after that: a big, fat "zero".....
Lessons Learned:
CHP = Zero
Immediate application for CCW=+100
******* on the side of the road from then on= +100

I always use the stall, never the urinals.
Stop whining and go make a difference!
If you think that I may be talking to you, then I am.

I always use a stall that locks, if they don't have one I don't use the bathroom there.

Even when using a stall does anyone else have a problem keeping there gun from dragging their pants down to the ground enough that there holster/firearm may be visible to others entering and exiting the bathroom?

I always wondered about this. I would hate to be needing to take a dump at a public restroom and be carrying my pistol because the floors of public restrooms are notoriously nasty places and would not want my pistol making my pants sag and touch the floor.
I haven't had this problem yet.

My BIL was at the waterfront in an upstate NY city, nice area, summertime. There was a long line waiting to get into the restaurant, so instead of skipping ahead of all those people and asking to use the facilities, he went to a bath house on the beach. There were a lot of people around the waterfront. As he was standing at the urinal, a huge guy rushed into the beach house and gave him a good one to the back of the head. He went down and the guy continued to beat him. He wound up with a fractured face, broken jaw bone and missing teeth. He was wired up for six months and lost 40 pounds from not being able to eat. After the guy took his wallet, he saw that there was an accomplish at the entrance keeping people out.
There are some very mean people out there. My BIL now has a gun. So does my sister.

I always use stalls. Had a creepy peeper trying to catch a glance one time about twenty years ago. Ever since then, I use locked stalls. Now that I'm carrying, it makes even more sense to avoid public urinals.

It's called the Fruit of the Loom sling.....You don't let your pants drop to the floor
1) the floors are yucky
2) you hold your pants up off the floor by spreading your legs apart a little to keep enough tension so that the stay up
3) put your pistol in the nice little sling made by your undies.

If Im carrying Ill try to use a stall so I can lock a door and be in a little privacy. I dont want to use a urinal cuz if I have to draw. Im afraid of coming up with the wrong pistol. LOL.
