Congratulations on getting the permit. Five months seems pretty long, they must have been really backed up. I got mine 3 years ago in only 60 days.

I recall reading somewhere that this is a very serious backlog of CCW permit application. They have had to hire extra help to process the backlog of CCW permits. So maybe it's good that there are so many applications for permits. It's a way that the state government hired a few people.

I have had my permit packet from FLA sitting in my desk for the last two years.....I guess I should have applied a long time ago.

5 months! Guess the threads about them being backed up are true. They were supposed to hire extra people to help with the backlog, guess we'll see how that goes.

I saw that my check to them got cashed last week. Hopefully it's a good sign. Meantime, I just rely on the VA, and soon UT, and NH non res. Was carrying for the first time in PA yesterday! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FEELING!!!!!

Congratulations! I mailed my Utah application on February 2nd and they processed the check on March 4th. They told me I could expect at least 60 days after they processed the payment. I went for the Utah license as it added one more state than Florida (Washington state) while the Florida license added nothing over the Utah license plus the Utah license was a bunch cheaper.

Hey cvhoss: The great thing about UT is the renewal at $10 and no prints. I may let FL slide next time because the prints are getting to be harder to get, they get sent back for vaious problems and I am not sure I want to deal with all that next time.
