Hi, can't answer your question, but wanted to say hello and just say we really like the area you are from. My Grandparent lived 7 mi south of Shingleton when we were kids. I still come up once or twice a yr.
Hope to spend my summers on Boot lk when we retire.

    Hope you get your answer.

    Sincerely,
    Keith

Out of curiosity why do you ask? Would that be a deal breaker?

    Thanks,

MI law requires the church authority to have given you written permission to carry...

Stay armed...Jesus would carry a Kimber in FL...stay safe!

Check the law again. I don't believe it states that the permission needs to be written.

I would find a church that you like, get involved, and then talk to the pastor in charge about carrying (which will expose everyone to your character/integrity on a deeper level). Once you're known and have established yourself as a responsiible man I think you'll find permision to carry without an issue. I tihnk that you'll be surprised at the amount of pastors that are interested in making sure there church is safe and secure.

The pastor OR church council. It has to be the person or people who are the true authority in that particular church. This may vary by religion.

I'm grateful that we have no such requirements around here. Wish I could help.

Required or not, I would want it in writing and would be carrying it anytime I was in that church.

Get written permission. Have them write it on the back of a business card and laminate it. Carry it in your wallet with your CPL. Cover all your bases.

If you're going to carry concealed, it is best to get it in writing. If they decide, after an incident, that it is best that the church have no involvement, they may deny you ever got permission.

If you have your CPL, you may legally openly carry with or without permission in Michigan. (With the standard caveat: If they ask you to leave, you must or face trespass charges)
