JAT40 thanks is an NRA pistol course or basic firearms course acceptable?
In the information packet it states: Documentation of successfully completing a Firearms Safety course for pistols and revolvers. No mention of NRA.

From MA here and just got it with no problems. Just make sure you follow the directions to the T. They said 8 weekd but it was 4. I had a safety cource given at S&W by the State Police and it was fine.

I've had new york pistol permit from westchester for going on ten years now. Do I need to show that I took a handgun safety class? Figure my permit will be enough. Cause who the hell knows were that paper is now
