    Call DPS @ 860-685-8494
Ask for out of state pistol permit package.
    Firearm Safety course is required.

In the information packet it states: Documentation of successfully completing a Firearms Safety course for pistols and revolvers. No mention of NRA.

They accepted my NRA basic pistol certificate. I think you also need to send a photocopy of your home state permit(or maybe just another state will do).

From MA here and just got it with no problems. Just make sure you follow the directions to the T. They said 8 weekd but it was 4. I had a safety cource given at S&W by the State Police and it was fine.

Good luck. If you have any questions PM me.
