New Oreans House of Blues CC?

I may be going to a concert at the House of Blues in New Orleans next Wednesday. Do any of you Louisiana residents know if CC is off limits there? I looked at their website and there was nothing saying one way or the other. I also couldn't find on their site whether or not it was considered a bar under LA law. Any help would be appreciated. I would hate to walk from where I park all the way there to have to turn around and go back to the truck and leave my pistol.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I had to go through there a lot for work. I was hoping that since the Hous of Blues had a restaurant, that maybe the stage was tied in with that part. Oh well. I guess I can handle it for one night. I will be there solely for the concert then back north to MS.

I'll go you one better than that.....I don't plan to go back to New Orleans at all.

I went to the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach SC couple of years ago they had metal detectors at the door and would not even let a small (sub 2") pocket knife in.

As to the question, if it's a bar, I don't think I'd chance CC'ing. But, it is a blues bar, they might expect it. Choice is up to you my friend.

Here is a "rule of thumb" that might be helpful for you when you aren't sure whether it's a bar or restaurant. If smoking is allowed, it's probably considered a bar, so no CCW.

Thats how it is here in the HOB orlando--
I had my leatherman mirca on me and I had to trek all the way back to my car....
