    Unhappy No Nachos!!!

Not sure if it's a Colorado thing or a "problem" with Wal-Mart in general these days, but I've been in there three times now on a WallyWalk and there don't seem to be any nachos to be had (unless I make them myself, which would be awkward...). We have either Subway or McDonalds anchored like a wart near the exit hole of our local stores.

Come to think of it... there's no ammunition in the sporting goods section, either!! I'm beginning to think someone played a prank on me.

And... to make matters even more perplexing, all of our cheap action flick boxes look like this:

Over the past few days, I've carried just about everywhere I've been and I'm getting used to the notion of traveling armed. I've had a firearm nearby on road trips and around the house since acquiring my first nearly a year ago (my rifles have been nearby since childhood). This just feels like an extension of what I've already been doing and it's been just a matter of paying closer attention to my surroundings -- changing my mindset rather than my behavior as a man carrying a gun.

Similar to when I first started riding motorcycles about four years ago, the world changed. I've started looking at things differently, much like viewing the highways and roads from the seat of a motorcycle. I pay more attention, I find I have to allow an incredible amount of stupidity to flow off my back and, most importantly, I'm the same man I was the day before I obtained my license to carry a concealed firearm or ride a motorcycle in public. Just more aware.

    It's been an interesting trip.

Now, where the hell are my nachos?? Oh yeah... I forgot about the 7-11 two blocks down from my house. Just added another one to the list!!

I'm sorry you couldn't find any Nachos. I'm no expert in Spanish... but if that first movie is indeed titled "The Red Car Bandit" or "The Bandit in the Red Car"... it isn't a very creative title is it? LoL. No ammo at all? The Wal-Mart over here in Lakewood always has some kind of ammo on the shelves... none in anything I shoot but still some ammo. Come to think of it... I don't think I have EVER seen nachos for sale in a Wal-Mart since I've lived here... always just been a McDolands. Could always substitute the nachos for a big mac I guess... if you want a speed heart attack anyway. Maybe just get an apple pie?

It's better (I do speak a little Espanol)... it's "The Red Car Gang" and there is a "Return of the Red Car" floating around out there. The other flick is simply "Implacable AR-15 Commando."

I did see a couple boxes of .223 Remington on the shelves, along with the usual dusty .25 Auto and carton after carton of bird shot. Sadly, the missus and I shoot 9mm and .45, along with the rest of the known shooting universe so we stand in line with the rest of that known universe. Outside of that, Longmont's Wal-Mart ammo shelves are as empty and dry as Martha Stewart's week-old cookies...

I was SOOOO looking forward to crossing nachos off the list during my first walk. From here on out, most days will involve a "Wally Walk" in one form or another, I'm not really sweating it.

    Cheers!

My Wal*Mart closed it's snack bar about a year ago, thinking they could open one of the big name franchises (Subway, MacDonalds, etc.) but their location is inside the competitive radius those giants grant to their franchisees; alas, no eats in my Wal*Mart.

many mango season ago the wal marts had a snack bar in them. they had great nachos. they also sold ammo and guns. now the snack bars are gone and a mc d's and/or subway's have replaced them. most wal marts stopped selling guns and you can not find any ammo. all good things must come to pass.

I feel your pain, no nachos at my local MalWart, no ammo unless you want shotgun shells.
At least the Southwest side of Detroit has some tasty Mexican food to satisfy those cravings, and fortunaly I can still get ammo at the fun shop.

If the WW doesn't have Nachos, you can order the Big Mac, just note the change on your WW Trek application when you send it in to SIXTO.

The two local WW's around here have a Blimpie's and a Subway. There is one about 30 miles away that still has the snack bar w/nachos. Now if I only liked nachos.....

In tidewater Virginia it is hit or miss on ammo, so I buy it by the 100's when I see it in stock. We also have McDonald's or Subway...no nachos.
