FWIW, it looks like the Senate State Affairs Committee may be having a hearing on Campus Carry starting at 8:30 a.m. in the morning (Monday, April 27). I'm hoping to catch at least part of it at http://www.senate.state.tx.us/ram/helix/ch1.ram or Texas State Senate RealMedia Streaming Broadcasts. (Archived version probably available for those who miss it.)

I'm pretty sure that this is the same op/ed that Senator Wentworth distributed in the Senate Affairs Committee Hearing this morning. Pretty potent stuff from 3 professors: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcont...omments_anchor

The archived version of yesterday's hearing is up on the Senate web site: Apr 27 Senate Committee on State Affairs (Part II)
Apr 27 Senate Committee on State Affairs (Part I)
Jerry Patterson was the final witness - although John Wood seemed to have the last word.
Not for sure, but I think someone said the committee might vote on it today.
