Sent 21 January, check cashed mid-April, license received 23 April. So, right about three months...

Well 4 years ago it took 7 days. I guess this can be seen as a positive sign. From my old state, NY, I would just asume lazy workers.

I called to check on it. I sent my check April 28th. They said to expect at least 90 days.

Wow! They must really be seeing a HUGE increase in permit apps; I've only had mine for about 6 months and the wait time then was about a month.

Resident applications are processed by the town you live in, non-resident applications are processed by the state. Two completely different entities with no correlation regarding time to process.

As Class3NH mentioned I believe that pertains to residents only since resident permits are processed at the local level.
