Colorado Gov Vetos NICS bypass
The Governor has vetoed the bill that would allow CCW holders to bypass the NICS check for purchases. The bill managed to get through a Democratic-controlled state legislature, but was killed by the anti-gun governor.
Fellow CO citizens, please vote on the poll linked below in the Denver Post. Let the Gov know that he's underestimated the pro-2A population. At the moment, the anti-gun crowd is ahead by 2 percentage points (50 agree with Gov, 48 disagree).

OK, to play the devil's advocate, what is wrong with them running the check when a permit holder purchases a gun? As a legitimate permit holder you are going to pass, the check is instant (?) and it is a relatively unobtrusive way to keep guns from people that may be lying and trying to get around purchase laws. Like any other ID card a permit card can be forged.

I'm just one root in a grassroots organization. No one should assume that I speak for the VCDL.
I am neither an attorney-at-law nor I do play one on television or on the internet. No one should assumes my opinion is legal advice.

FWIIW -- He was caught. Is in jail. But government data bases and airline's "no-fly" list have a life of their own.
