    Utah CCW

Just a quick question. I googled it and found nothing; Sorry if it has been discussed. I was wondering if Utah's permit allowed you to conceal more than one firearm?
    Thanks

Utah does have a concealed WEAPONS permit, not a pistol permit.

You can carry as many as you can hold without having your pants fall down.

Actually, the permit is a CONCEALED FIREARMS PERMIT.

You can carry any firearm you can conceal, even long guns.

    I stand corrected.
I had done a quick search and found this...

    Title 53
    § 53-5-701. Short title
This part is known as the “Concealed Weapon Act.”
    § 53-5-702. Definitions
    (1) As used in this part:
    (a) “Board” means the Concealed Weapon Review Board created in Section
    53-5- 703...

    Didn't look far enough...my bad!

Awesome to have no qualifications with the firearms you want to carry like we have to in Nevada. Here in Nevada they put the firearm make and model on the permit.

I appreciate being able to carry any firearm I choose, however, I wish I could CC a knife. Per Utah law, it is a misdemeanor to conceal any "dangerous weapon" other than a firearm, even with a valid permit.

It's strange to me that I can get a permit to CC a gun, but not a knife.?.?.

It is my understanding that in many states carrying a folder with the retention clip on the outside of the pocket makes the knife 'not concealed' because the clip is visible. Of course, a knowledgeable person (including the BG's) who notice the clip will know a knife is there, but the sheep will not.

Buyer beware: This understanding of mine is based on internet discussion boards such as this one - check your own state's statutes and/or case law to be certain.
