I just noticed the first compliant no weapons sign in Aiken, SC at the Aiken Mall Cinema. I'm going to have a word with the manager soon to try to get it removed. I agree with XD 45 that we need a site like that for SC. I think I'll add a page on my business website to list gun-unfriendly businesses in our area.

I just added a page to my website that lists anti-cwp business in my area. Thanks for the idea.

Another funny/odd thing is that they will not sell ammo to you if you are also purchasing a firearm.
I work at Bass Pro in concord, mostly in the archery dept. but will work the gun counter when the call arises. And I have never seen an instance at our store where we have refused to sell ammo to someone purchasing a firearm. I know that most of the time when I'm doing a sale, I will ask the customer if they would like to purchase a box for the weapon they just bought while they're here.
Also most of the people at our store are very Pro-gun. On numerous occasions I have helped CCH Permit holders find and fit holsters for the weapons they are carrying in our store.
As far as escorting you out after a purchase, I believe that is more of a reassurance thing for the
so they dont complain about a "man with a gun".

I was actually speaking of Walmart more in that last statement.

Any of you actually read the sign in it's entirety? It's a joke/slam on the "Gun Free Zones".
I understand the spirit of the thread, and agree with it, just want to know if anyone here read the entire sign.

Is this something that already exists? If so, where can I find it?

That is funny, I went to that same Bass pro Shop in Concord, NC and bought a S&W 637 and the guy asked me if I wanted the last box of wwb 38 to go with it. I walked out with both in a bag.
Guess I got the good guy at the counter.

The websites sound like a great idea. Maybe you list a place you can put a link to the owners/mgrs mailbox and have everybody send them a "nice" letter.
To be honest except for government buildings I haven't seen a single no gun sign around here in KY. I know that if I did I would be writing to the owner/mgr immediately once I was home and letting them know how I felt about it.

Nonetheless, I refuse to eat there until the sign comes down and I've contacted them to let them know that. I'm encouraging everyone else to do the same.
The Sonny's in Monroe had the sign too back in the day. They are closed now.
Im in NC all the time and I never see no carry signs.
