    Thanks a lot for getting started on this. I hope that this website can get off of the ground.

    I have some suggestions. Like someone also said, it would be good to have a section for corporations to boycott. Then another section for the local level, maybe selectable by state. It could contain links to some of the other websites like VCDL's list or NRA ILA's list. Like Here Maybe links to 30.06 sign information where appilcable. A user editable wiki would be easy to modify where people could post pictures of offending establishments, the signs, etc. They could also list specific information regarding offenses and interactions, and anything else that is pertinent.

    PAOCDO has some similar No Guns = No $ cards.
    No Guns No Money Cards - Pennsylvania Open Carry Gun Laws, Information, Fliers and Forum - paopencarry.org
    Something like that would be a good addition to the site too.

    Oops... I noticed that the last link posted above was posed on a separate thread a couple days ago.

    Thanks to GizmoHD, the ball is rolling on this project!!! The domain names are operational and GizmoHD is working on the programming for the site. The new address will be nocarryzones.com

    I'm noting the suggestions for the content and hope to receive more from you as the site is laid out.

    Thanks everyone!!!

    Absolutely! State and eventually a county map overlay as well but that will be later on...

    Here in VA, we not only have the VCDL list, but someone on OCDO put together a database using Google Maps, where we can tag locations with positive, negative, or neutral OC experiences. Since here we cannot conceal in a restaurant that serves alcohol (we MUST open carry if we carry at all), it's good to know who is going to escort you out instead of serving you.

    I think many states have something like this - perhaps your website could start out with links to each states' individual setup?

    Normally I don't ask or concern myself about it. Concealed means concealed and if I ever need a gun in an NPE, upsetting the management is the least of my problems.

    Exclamation ISD's (Improvised Striking Devices)

    There are WEAPONS and then there are "weapons." I personally think the mind is the deadliest of all weapons, which of course is why liberals are always unarmed. However, does a newspaper count? Because I can kill you with a rolled up newspaper. My Aikido sensei taught me this really useful technique after I first reported to my first inner city school and he heard some of the locals didn't appreciate a teacher that insisted on maintaining order, discipline and a QUIET learning environment. So he taught me the following techniques which I have since shared all over the web.

    When grabbed from behind: "Pinch" the skin on the inner part of the thigh (pant material is thinner here) and just twist the heck outta it!

    You can try this on yourself and be aware of the sensation without maiming yourself in the process. The idea here is to make the person LET GO in a shock reaction. After that, you may have to follow up with some other strike or just exit the area, fast!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    A few more important techniques!
    It only works at night or in some really dark area like a parking garage, but for folks especially living behind enemy lines in a gun oppressed area get a SureFire Flashlight of at least two lithium cells in strength. Their 6P model is a fine choice but if you can afford bigger by all means, as long as you can carry it well.
    The beam of one of these lights is easily enough to temporarily blind/stun an attacker when he doesn't know it's coming. They are tail switch activated and some can be had with a bezel ring adjuster that is jagged and useful as a striking weapon. I'm never without mine, even when I'm armed. Maybe especially when I'm armed.
    Good site for many brands of high quality tactical lights:
    Bright Flashlights - Personal Carry Lights, Tactical Lights, Weapons Lights and AR15 Parts, Sights & Accessories - Surefire, PentagonLight, Insight Technology, EOTech, Aimpoint, Laser Devices
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    FINALLY:

    * Take a section of newspaper and roll it up like you were going to swat a fly. Then bend it double and hold it in your fist. It should allow your fingers to close all the way around it. Where the crease appears there will be a number of small points or knobs. That is the striking surface. You'll find that the paper is now a sturdy club capable of literally splitting skulls.

    * A variation or should I say an evolution of the Kubaton is called the Kerambit. It's an innocous looking little piece of plastic that looks like it's shaped into a broad "L" shape with a hole in one end. Use it correctly and you can take anyone any size at anytime.

    Here are some really nifty and innocuous looking devices and most are really inexpensive. I can testify from experience that they (most of them I have tried at one time or another in various situations and jobs over many years) certainly work in an actual situation.

    I repeat from previous posts. . . In Arkansas a "no weapons" sign must be visible from a minimum distance of 10 feet, given "normal" eyesight and at every entrance door. To be honest I rarely pay any attention to these signs at all because I am more concerned with parking lot safety while transitioning to and from my vehicle than I am of any "corporate store policy."
