    Louisiana Signage?

Ok folks from LA help me out here.

Does LA have a specific type of signage that is needed for banning CCW?

I looked through the online booklet they have at the state website but it is very vague, and contained no actual statutes like the Texas one does.

Do gun buster signs or no guns allowed whatever hold weight in LA or is there something in particular that one would need to look for in order for it to be a valid anti CCW sign.

    Thanks.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Well I broke down and called the State Police office and talked to a friendly officer down there. Apparently LA does not specifically address the signage issue in their statues. This is the only wording that addresses it. So I guess if they have any kind of sign up that indicates they don't want weapons on their premisis, then you don't take one in there.

The provisions of R.S. 40:1379.3 (N) shall not limit the right of a property owner, lessee, or other lawful custodian to prohibit or restrict access of those persons possessing a concealed handgun pursuant to a permit issued under this Section.

    Signage

It doesn't have to be a particular size either. The Alltel location near me has a sign that says no weapons allowed (includes knives) on a
4" x 4" plastic square attached to 3 or 4 others by the door. Missed it the first three times I went there. When I finally did see it had to explain to the wife we had to leave. She wasn't happy about it but we both carry so she understood.
