Yesterday I received my Arkansas CHCL in just shy of 90 days. I haven't had a chance to do the WWW yet, but hopefully I'll get it under my belt soon.
If it wasn't for this site I would have gone crazy during the long wait.

Congrats!
Worth the wait

Man that sucks, well at least the part about when you do the Wal Mart walk there won't be any ammo for you to buy when you get back to the counter. They probably don't have any nachos either just those healthy Subway sandwiches. Getting new permits these days just isn't as fun as it used to be.
But glad to have you on board and congrats on the permit coming in.![]()
Have you got your carry rig worked out already? Been wearing it around the house to get comfortable with it?
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Congrats from another ARK that took 90 days also...I was a mailbox buzzard for along time.... good luck on carrying for the first time....it will seem like everybody is looking at you...Robbie
Maybe I'm lucky since I live about an hour away from WW's HQ, but we have both a Subway and nachos.
As of now my carry rig consists of a S&W SW99 in .40 with a Comp-Tac Pro Undercover IWB holster. I've been wearing it around the house and it's pretty darn comfortable. Soon enough I'll be picking up some sort of compact .45 so the wife can keep the .40 around the house. I have plenty of shotguns, but she doesn't like the kick. However, she would shoot thousands of rounds through the .40 if I'd let her.
Grats on the permit!

Yeller, make a joyful sound to the Lord that your wife WOULD shoot up all the .40. Some people have wives that do not understand our sheepdog mentality. My wife is a jewel. She personally owns three revolvers and three semi-autos. I'm a happy camper!
Congrats on obtaining your permit.
If I can make a suggestion, and if you wear elastic band sports shorts on occasion, you might want to pick up a smaller firearm. My choice for just such occasions is the Ruger LCP. The .380 ACP pack plenty of stopping power but is light enough to not pull down your shorts saving you an indecent exposure charge.
Welcome to the wold of the enlightened. Keep you and your family safe from harm.
