One permit down, one to go -- NC

    I'm HALFWAY THERE !!!!

Picked up my purchase permit from the county Sheriff's office today (exactly 30 days on the wait, by the way) and YAY, I can officially pick up my new gun (Sig P239 9mm DAK) and take it home!

While there, it looks like the processing for the CCHP is actually taking more like 30 days (not 90+) in my county, it's just the wait to actually get in your application. I have 30 days left for my appointment to turn in the app, but they're checking for me on any cancellations, so I *may* be able to go in sooner.

But hey, at least I can carry in my own home now, right?

Can I get a "WOOHOO!!!!" please?

    *very excited Bunny*
Don't frisk me, I am the weapon.

Congratulations...but you need to move to WV. The people and scenery are just as nice but no beaches and you would have been carrying about 20 days ago IN PUBLIC NOT YOUR HOME. LOL Congratulations again sorry you have a screwed up system in NC.

    Congrats!

    So how does she shoot?

So do you have to do a psych eval and such? I was going to get one in Onslow county and the Sheriff there was just crazy with what he wanted.

    Good luck getting your CCHP!

Well a big "WOOHOO" for you but keep this in mind -- if it were not for the NC Sheriff's association the bill to do away with a permit from the sheriff to purchase would be up for a vote.. Thank your sheriff for taking away your right to purchase a firearm without his premission.. and by the way if he thinks you should not be able to purchase he does not have to issue a permit.. it is all up to him... so a big "WOOHOO" for North Carolinia. My purchase permit took 1 week and my CCHP took 20 days. Yes in NC. Now that I have my CCHP I can purchase all the handguns I want just using my CCHP. "WOOHOO"
