Well everyone, things went off without a hitch. Nothing happened at all, imagine that lol. The wife did notice about 6 hours after i had been carrying. I was on my hands and knees soaking up water from the torrential downpour and she thought something was in my pocket. She saw me printing. She told me she didn't want it in the tent at night. I said "too bad", that's when you may need it the most. Nobody else noticed a thing. Even went in 7-11 and didn't feel weird at all. All in all i had a pretty good first CC experience.

You feel safe in military housing? Here at Bragg you have alot of wannabe gangsta teens, vehicle break in's and such. I moved off post and feel much safer there.

Hopefully you get the chance to get some range time soon. We have a range here on post that I'll use during lunch when ammo is avail.

    Good luck

Absolutely take it with you camping. You are 100% correct that it will do you no good at home.

Well i feel safe for the most part. Actually the first time anything has ever happened to me actually happened in base housing now that you mention it. Some teens went on a spree one night spray painting vehicles, houses, and burnt a bus to the ground. They spray painted my tail gate and were caught within a few days. But all in all i do feel relatively safe. I feel safer on base than off base.
