Smile Class To Mail in 102 Days

Wow, finally the mailbox trip was worth it today..... I took my class on Feb 14 and got today. I believe South Carolina has always taken the full 90 days to issue CWP. Please comment on you SC CWP wait time.

I contacted SLED at the 90 days and they informed me that the licensing department was short staffed and it could take up to 110 days to receive my permit. I asked about the 90 day wait time and they said they have to issue a denial letter within 90 and your permit could take 110.

I am glad the wait is over...

Here in eastern NC, from the time I turned in my application to the county sherrif's office to the time they called me and told me to come pick it up was 45 days. I thought it would take the full 90 days but it didn't.

    Congrats on the new permit!

FL is averaging about a 100 day wait now.

    Congratulations...

BTW: I may have set the record... Montana CCW in hand in 13 days from day of application (15 days if you count from last day of class to in hand).

    Waiting on mine...

Guess I should be about 2 weeks behind you - took my class Feb. 28, and mailed it in Mar 2. Have been checking the mail daily, but I guess I've got a couple more weeks!

    Congrats, and stay safe.

I took my class on Jan 3 and the instructor mailed the application. I received my permit on April 15. Good luck and stay sharp.

    i hate you guys!!!

Maaaan!! In Texas, the average waiting period from application submission and actually receiving your CCL is 7 months!!!! And, that might still be a conservative estimate because of the huge influx of people applying here in the Lone Star State. I took the class in January, and had a hiccup with my application, so I am HOPING to get mine in 7 months but I will probably have to wait even longer. Oh well, I am waiting and I guess I should get used to it.

Yeah, I’ve heard that many States are taking 3-4 times longer due to the influx. It’s ironic how a presidential election can change how people react to socialism. Likewise, many States have cut staffing levels so that too, adds to the mix of delays.
