Florida Acceptable Training Documentation
I am planning on applying for a Florida permit. My Kansas permit required an instruction class on CCW. The certificate of completion I received lists the instructor's state instructor number but doesn't specifically state that she is NRA Certified (even though she is).
For the Florida app. it asks for a course that is state certified or taught by an NRA certified instructor. Do I need to get more documentation than what I already have, or will this suffice? Any advice from previous Florida applicants is appreciated.

Try these questiosns first then go to the statutes. There is a link on the page at question #4. If that doesn't clear it up then call the DOACS.

You might get away with sending them a copy of your certificate, and you’re Kansas CCL.
But, considering the lag time right now, you might want to call and speak with someone first, and then put a note inside stating that you called and whom you spoke with.

If you can get in touch with the instructor just have them make a copy of their NRA Instructor Certification Card which has all the endorsements and instructor certification number.

I think you are OK but (As stated above) call them to make sure. The process takes enough time without adding errors or mistakes to it

A friend of mine went through a situation like this last year. They asked for a copy of the other states course certificate and a copy of the instructors NRA training certificate. I would still like to hear it from the horses mouth incase there's been some sort of admin change or something since then.

IF you are a veteran, you can just send a copy of your DD214 in lieu of any training documentation

The NRA doesn't certify by state. Their courses are generic. You will be fine with a copy of your Kansas certificate. I also sent in a copy of my MN permit.
