That's a Pa. Gaming Control Board regulation. Not criminal code.
It arguably only applies to casino employees.

Correct, sorry I should have been more clear. It is discussed a bit over in our PA Firearms Association Forums. Here and Here.

    Section 465.14

The possession by any person of any firearm or handgun within this licensed facility without the express written permission of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is prohibited.
CCW permit holder for Idaho, Utah, Pennsylvania, Maine and New Hampshire. I can carry in your country but not my own.

The "official" position of the PGCB is that casino patrons found to be in possession of weapons should be asked to store said weapons in their vehicle and invited to return to losing their money after doing so. If the patron refuses to remove their weapons from the building they could then be ejected for tresspassing.

The regulation is not part of the criminal code. Therefore carrying into a PA. casino is not illegal.

Fair enough. Not that I'm too concerned. Even though I carry a PA permit, I've never been to Pennsylvania. I also haven't seen the inside of a casino in years.

You should come visit sometime. We've got tons of cool historic sites, some pretty cool cities and lots of beautiful country.

Neither have I. I work too hard to throw money away.

The 2011 NRA annual meeting is in Philly. You never know.

I also heard a rumour Philadelphia has a hockey team. Any truth to that??

Just be careful with the Schools. You can't carry on school property. I made that mistake early on in my carry career and fortunately I didn't have any problems until I read the statute carefully. I called my sheriff's dept. and they said can't carry in schools and that led me to believe that I could leave it in the glove box when I went in to the school. Not so.

Otherwise...Just go about your normal daily business and have a great time in Pennsylvania.
BTW: I have never seen a NO FIREARMS sign posted anywhere in PA - Stores, Restaurants (that serve alcohol), Malls, Bars, etc. are all OK.

KennyWood Park is a no-no even for a little key-chain pocket knife. They "wand" everybody going in & you must empty the contents of your pockets.

Naturally the airport is like every other airport regarding gun regulations.

And I am not sure about the new casinos that have recently opened up.

You may keep your firearm on your person in your vehicle and you are not legally required to disclose that you are carrying if stopped for a traffic violation.
QKShooter, where exactly is KennyWood Park.......
    Thanks......

They are prohibited carry if there is a sign up. That is my understanding. No sign means good to go.

    Post It's In West Mifflin

Here is the Google Map link.
Just type kennywood park into the search block.
Pretty neat - use the zoom in feature on the satellite image option.

Again, because the posts about this are on the previous page, it is my understanding that this is policy, not law.

Yeah, but Pittsburgh has a better one!
