Platte County, MO-14 Days Flash to Bang
Glad I settled on the Missouri side.
Took the CCP class on Saturday, 23 May.
Dropped off paperwork and fees and had fingerprints taken at the Platte County Sheriff's Office Monday, 25 May.
Got the phone call Thursday, 11 June that my permit was approved and I could pick up my blue slip anytime and go get my permit. From my figuring, that's 13 working days (had a long weekend). Not too shabby.
Showed up at 0800 Friday, 12 June. Took about 5 minutes to sign and notarize the certificate. Walked across the street to the Licensing Bureau. They verified my citizenship, took 11 dollars to pay for the seperate ID with the CCW endorsement and took a picture. Walked out at 0820 as a newly minted CCW holder.
Very impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of all folks involved at the Sherrif's Office and Licensing Bureau. No strange looks and no foot dragging. One of the few decent experiences I've had with any type of bureaucracy in the last 45 years.

That is pretty incredible. Took me 62 calendar days on the other side of the state line. Welcome to the club.

Congrats!
Now that is a lot better than many states, but I still think it should be 'same day' service...they COULD to that.
"That I cannot do."

Is that Missouri in Asia?
Where in Missouri is it already Friday?
Americans understood the right of self-preservation as permitting a citizen to repel force by force
when the intervention of society... may be too late to prevent an injury.

I knew I would screw something up. Dates are off by a week. Time to issue was still the same, but I took the class on 16 May and dropped off paperwork on 18 May. Phone call on 4 June and issue date on permit is 5 June. What I get for being in a hurry at work.
Instructor was Gary McMullin. Beleive he's also the Police Chief over at Weatherby Lake.

Congrats !
Mine took I think about 14 days also. Missouri seems to be faster service than many.
