    who has drawn their weapon?

i'm new to cc and to this forum, so i apologize in advance if this has
already been discussed. that being said, how many of you have
actually drawn your weapon, how many have subsequently fired your
weapon, and what were the circumstances? i have always owned guns of all kinds, but have just recently felt the need to carry a weapon.
got a cc license last oct. and a bursa 380 plus which i carry everywhere. thanks................

There are a lot of threads about this if you search.

That said, welcome to the forum. I've had to draw down twice. I've never had to fire. Here's my most recent situation:

For the most part I do not think that you will get a lot of responses to your question. Partly because most of the forum members haven't had to use their firearm and partly because those who have been in that sort of situation are either a professional (ie LEO etc) or do not want to talk about it (or have been advised NOT to talk about it by legal counsel).

I myself will neither confirm nor deny that I have ever had to use a weapon in a defensive situation. Further, IMO, the fact that you asked this question also shows a bit of immaturity on your part when it comes to carrying a firearm. That is my personal opinion and it may be based on the fact that I may have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed this a.m. Or not.

With respect, I will stand up for the OP here and say that it's a reasonable question.

I agree, I don't necessarily think it's out of line.

With that said, I've never drawn in a defensive situation...so this is the extent of what I'll be able to contribute in this thread.

I've never drawn in a defensive situation and never expect to.

i have never had to draw a pistol on anyone, allthough i have pointed a rifle at someone, and was ready to pull the trigger when they realised what was going on and fled.

I have drawn twice. Both instances were over 30 years ago, long before CCL's were in existence in my state.

When I see all these threads about WHAT IF THIS OR THAT HAPPENS
I almost never read them because it all theory.
Its always nice to read the real outcome of whats happens in the street because the rest to me is just talk.

Have had permit since Nov. '08 but as of this date, have not had to draw a concealed pistol/revolver on anyone.

I have never been forced to draw and fire my weapon in the 12+ years of carrying, and hopefully I will never have to. That being said, if I did I don't think I would talk about it.

I have drawn a picture of my Glock while doodling on a pad, does this count? J/k Have not drawn and hope and pray everyday that I don't have to but as other posters will tell you. If you do better be prepared emotionally and financially.
