    Arizona, restaurant carry, Sept 30th

    Well Gov. Brewer signed a few good bills, SB-1113 passed, carry in restaurant and bars not posted but no drinking. Effective Sept 30. She also signed the employer can stop you from having firearm in car bill. Don't like her budget solutions but at least now wife and I will be going to some restaurants we boycotted unless they post no firearms signs.

    I think you mean the employer CAN'T stop you from having a gun in your car. It was a good day!

    I'm really happy to see restaurant carry happening all over. Now maybe we can finally get it here!

    Congrats to the AZ legislators with some common sense.

    Now we can wait for the 'bloodbaths' that will never happen.

    Yep...so excited about this one. My only problem is staying patient until September 30th!

    here is a little more info

    Specifies that the sign must be:

    v Composed of block, capital letters printed in black on white paper and consume a space of at least 6 x 9 inches;

    v Posted in a conspicuous location;

    v Contain a pictogram that shows a firearm within a red circle and a diagonal red line across the firearm; and

    v Contain the words, “No firearms allowed pursuant to A.R.S. Section 4-229.”

    It actually states that the sign must be posted with the liquor/business license. Now where are THOSE kept? Must I wander around the place until I find it, or simply ask the bartender if it's OK...
    They can't just post it on the door.

    Liquor licenses are normally posted by the cash register along with the local business licenses

    Nice, too bad I am moving from AZ this December. I hear my new state, Alaska is pretty gun friendly.
