Update: First WEEK out with CCW report....gear pics...

    Hi everyone......

I have an ongoing thread about my first day out with my new CCW and wanted to update on my continued outings and new gear purchase......

I just added a mag carrier to my belt....i bought the Galco Matrix single mag holder with snap-on loops.....this carrier is excellent and has just the right amount of tension to hold the mag in place.....I tried out one of the leather mag holders at the gunshop today, the clerk put a mag in there to check the function and it took both of us to pry the mag out of the holder.....so i passed on that one and ended up with the Matrix......

another thing i have added to my outfit, and THIS is a CCW'ers BEST friend, IMO...the "wife beater" A-shirt.....the first thing i noticed my first day out is after about a half hour of walking with the holster against bare skin was going to be very, very uncomfortable....event though the Galco Concealable is very smooth leather, it irritated the crap out of my side...and with the addition of the mag carrier only made it worse.......so the "beater" is a MUST, IMO......

and the Wilderness Belt is amazing.....the best $35 ive ever spent, its an excellent belt that holds the gun up very well

Its been an interesting week carrying concealed......

ive been all over town...going into stores, malls, barber shops, restaurants and gas stations......I have not ONCE even gotten a hint of anyone even looking at me funny or notice anything out of the ordinary....

a few times i have even gone out of my way to TRY, like bending down at the magazine rack at wal mart, twisting to one side just to see if anyone would even look at me......nope.....not one......

when i went to the gun shop today to buy the mag carrier, i even raised my shirt up and showed the clerk (i know its a gun shop, no big surprise there, huh??? LOL)

I think i am relaxed now after only a few days of carrying my gun around and look forward to doing it on a daily basis.......

below are some pics i took of my setup:

Yeah, I found out that a 'wife-beater' was the ticket, also

Nice rig and a very nice weapon! Would be too big for me but good for you! Have you ever tried IWB?

Anyway, enjoy, practice, and be safe....

Either the wife-beater or a body protector seems to solve the problem of 'touching gun'.
It's interesting to hear you solve your own problems with CCW.

Stay armed...smoothe out the carry plan...stay safe!

I like to think that it's only a "wife beater" if it's the only shirt you're wearing.

Hate to point this out but that guns seems a little big, look at your picture, I can see printing fairly easily. Frankly I am surprised that I am the first one to bring it up.

Like I said over on Glocktalk... you have got to love the Sig.

I like the looks of that magazine holder. Is it kydex?

    Wife Beater???

I had to Google "wife beater shirt".

    Welcome to the "club."

When my gun rubbed me wrong, I used to get an extra handkerchief and pad myself there.
I still need to make sure there is a little piece of cloth I keep in the holster in place between the hammer and me. That thing can scratch.
    I carry a 1911 IWB.

(And no, your Honor, I never started beating my wife. )

    ~Carry on.
It’s so much easier now days, to "Love and honor" my wife, when she is armed, and shoots a better group than I do. (Till death do us part, eh?)

“The way you get shot by a concealed weapons permit holder is, you point a gun at him,” the Sheriff said.
