    In your opinion

    My father inlaw just got his LTCF for PA he asked me since he has a house
    In PA and FL should he get his LTCF for FL also I told hom he didn't need to
    but wanted to see what everybody else thought. Thanks

    If he has FL and his home state he may have better "coverage" in more states that just the home state would give him.

    I don't carry with a CWP anymore, so I really have no idea.

    If he travels to states where the FL permit is accepted and the PA permit is not accepted, then he could benefit from the FL permit. Another thing to investigate: if FL considers him to be a FL resident, then his PA permit would not be recognized in FL (since FL does not recognize nonrez permits from reciprocal states).

    He would pick up the right to carry in Alabama, which could be useful if his Florida home is near the Alabama border.

    Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming
    States that honor FL License:
    Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana,Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia,West Virginia, Wyoming
    It appears getting a FL permit will give him states he can't carry in on his PA license. Have him evaluate thew states that he will gain and use that to decide if it is worth his money and time to get a FL permit as well.
