Curious how many people have multiple CCW. Is it simply to get better coverage or to protect yourself in case of state laws? I am debting whether it's worth getting Utah in addition to Florida and wanted to see what everyone else has/does

CHL you mean, permit, LTC?
Better coverage!
Missouri and Florida!
Ti.
All states I visit or pass through either reciprocate now with my state permit or are "no way" states. I might possibly visit a relative in Ohio, where I am not covered, so I could get coverage there by getting another permit.
But the Ohio law regarding permitted carry in a vehicle is so weird anyway, and I have no definite plan to go to Ohio; if I were seized by a sudden compulsion to go there, I would just unload my pistol and lock it in the trunk while in the state.
I have been waiting for my Michigan CCW for 4 months and still no word! I have called their status information number and left messages 4 times this month, but no replies. Supposedly, per Michigan law, the Gun Board is required to notify you within 45 to 90 days (after finger printing)of an approval or denial -- so much for that part of the CCW legislation in MI!
I have Nevada, Utah and New Hampshire.
It makes me legal in 32 states.
I would get Florida but all it would add to my list is Florida itself, so I don't see the point.
I could get Arizona but my Nevada and Utah are both legal there.
I have my own res permit for PA and FL non-res.
This only actually gives me 25 but does cover pretty much all I need. Funny tho - as of three years ago my PA reciprocity options were pretty limited - but now things have improved a lot and FL permit only adds six more.
Things have improved over time and I hope this trend continues.
it's only gonna get better!:biggrin2:

Its nice to see the states that now offer CCW. However, it would be nice to have CCW country wide for the good guys.
I have N.Y.S, and F.L. .
Only cause Im a recent Florida transplant. I do want to see if I can renew my N.Y. ccw, while Im a Florida resident. Its nice to have a handgun while visiting my home turf.
Just Mi. our AG is getting recisprocity with every state he can, good man!
In addition to my CA permit, I have already applied for a non-resident Utah just for the additional states it will give.
I may also get a Nevada permit since we visit there several times a year and they don't seem to honor either CA or UT.
Does anyone have both Florida and Utah out of curiousity
Amen, BlueLion! I've only got an OH CCW, but in the wake of 9/11, what an obvious advantage for us on the war on terrorism if we could get something national going on!Quote:

I have:
Resident Maine
Non-res NH
Non-res MA
Currently working on non-res RI. Not sure how that one is going to go. I live in Maine, but work in MA and RI and get there via NH, naturally. :)
just the Michigan as said about there working to get our permit to work with every state they can plus I'm to lazy to try to get them else where
