    All Glock 19 owners

I need some advice from people who carry a G19. I am looking for a holster. For some years I have been carrying a 1911 double stacker a big gun but, I love it. In warmer weather it is hard to carry and conceal. So, I bought a G19 not my first choice but ended up actually being very happy with it. Guns are back ordered and hard to get because they are flying off the shelves at least here in NJ and I cannot buy out of state. Anyway I only had about 14 days left on my pistol permit and needed to find something. My first 2 choices (Springfield Armory XD and Berretta X4) had waiting lists that surpassed 3-4 months and only having 14 days left and possibly being able to get an extension on my permit which would have given me another 90 days before having to reapply for another permit etc. etc. As I said it's a painful process here in the Peoples Republic of NJ. So which takes me to my G19 I found one I shot it I like it so I bought. I really love it though. So I am looking for ideas for the best concealable holster. The problem I have is to find a comfortable holster to accommodate my beer gut. Ideas, opinions welcome. Thanks

I have the Glock 23, same size as your Glock 19 and carry in a Minotaur MTAC, it works great.

    Glock 19 options:

IWB: Kramer IWB #3 Horsehide, all day comfortable and lifetime quality
OWB: Galco concealable, nice forward cant, open top, good quality

I carry a G19 almost as much as anything else and these two rigs have served me well. I'm not a reed of a fellow either, going about 5'11 and 210#.

I also have a Miami rig from Galco. I use it less than the others but it is very comfortable and has its applications.

Looks like I've got more money in holsters for the G19 than I do in the gun itself. Never thought of it that way. Oh well. I'm happy.

    Personally,

If you want something delivered within two weeks then the Comp-Tac MTAC is the way to go. If you are willing to wait a little longer then my personal favorite is TT Gunleather. They are about 8 - 10 weeks back ordered, maybe longer but their holsters are awesome. I own a few of them. Here is my G19 in a TT holster.

Check virtually any of the holster makers. It is a very popular model so any and all should be able to outfit you. The question is how do you intend to carry? IWB, OWB, shoulder - whatever. Do you want leather or man made material?

The G19 lends itself very well to many different modes of carry. Every one will have their favorite rig, what you need to do is work out how and where on your person you intend to carry. Then we can give you loooooong list of our fave's.

Do you guys prefer holsters that don't collapse when you draw the gun? I've heard some people say they do because they can then holster their pistol with ease.

NJ carry what that???? LEO I am not. I do though have a Virginia and Florida non residentsí CCW's which allows me to carry in a lot of states including my state of birth PA. I have a place there where I spend a lot of time and looking forward to getting back to PA real soon. My work took me to NJ and commuting got to bad so the rest is history.

Honestly don't know because before now I have used mainly shoulder holsters and I have a nylon piece of crap that I am using till I figure it out. I probably would want something that I could re-holster easily

Glock Sport/Combat is my #1 holster and I have boxes of others.
I either wear it outside the belt or inside the belt depending on dress.

Serves me well except for ISWB carry but inside the belt works almost as well.

    Simple,cheap and rugged !

If I want to carry ISWB, I use a Blade-Tech
