    I do the USPSA/IPSC almost every month. What did it "used to be"? I go at it with all my normal carry methods/equipment other than I OC instead of CC. Use my OWB holsters/mag carriers. I won't be getting into the 'race-gun' ordeal. Matches or competition is what you make of it, and you don't have to 'catch up' to anyone else. That's not what it's about in my opinion. Others may do as they will and take home what they want.

    I second what a few posters said about improving your gun handling, shooting on the move, fast reloads, clearing jams and shooting accurately under pressure.

    Even the best shooters will tell you after the buzzer you lose brain cells when the adrenalin kicks in.

    They both have their pros and cons. Shoot them both and have fun.

    I downloaded the rule book and read it thru. Like the way they layed everything out for you.
    As long as I've been shooting Cowboy I never have been one to worry about score, just trying to shoot my best. Planning on doing the same thing with IDPA.

    I joined IDPA to get some low cost training and I have feel it is a good start.

    I have a few buddy that go there for the match's. Mario, Larry, and Tony. I haven't been abled to make it down there yet as I work untill 6:00 and it's a 1hour drive. Some day though.
