    CWP Just Arrived!

I took the CWP course on 18 April, 2009. My permit just arrived today. I'm not exactly sure when my instructor mailed off the paperwork to the state. Its been probably around 95 days or so. I wasn't really looking for it until about the first week of August, so I'm pleased.

What's with this wally world thing? I've seen it referenced several times. Does it have to do witha policy that Wal Mart has or something?

Most of the wal-marts that I've been to don't have any type of no-firearm signs. So, alot of people will go to wal-mart and walk around once they get their permit. It's kind of an ice-breaker. Just to get the feel of carrying concealed. Some people are worried that everyone will notice them even though they are concealed. Once they walk around for a while and see that no one notices them they are a little bit more confortable carrying at other places.

    Talking Wally World

Back in the dark ages when Wally World had ammo in stock, and nachos at the snack bar, most people would hit the Wally World first. They would hit it to acquire lots of WWB (Winchester White Box 100 Rounds) for their weapon. As for Nachos, do we need an explanation? Some where on here a member posted an "official" Wally World visit map. Very funny! By the time you have dealt with Wally Worlds rule of them carrying the ammo to check out #19, with them oblivious to you actually carrying, having eaten your nachos, and looked at all the gun mags, you'll be more comfortable about CCW'ing. Seeing that no one panicked, Swat didn't arrive, and no one pointed and whispered, you'll realize that humongous bulge at your side really wasn't that noticeable. So go forth, carry lots, and shot more.

SC has been running pretty close to their 90 day mark this summer.
    Congrats and be safe.
