Amazing story. I was pulled over in my wifes SUV this evening because I had a brake light out. The LEO asked for my license and insurance. I handed it to him. I asked him why he pulled me over and he informed me. I informed him I was unaware and would fix the problem as soon as I got home. He told me too have a nice day.
It's great to live in a state that does not require you to inform. Man, I might have been harrassed if he had known.
Thats my story

I really don't see anything amazing. I will add you may not have been harassed if he had known.

Glad you didn't get a ticket, but what makes you think you could/would have been hassled for CCW?

funny thing. WA has no requirement to inform eather. And I plan to every time.
the last thing that I want is a LEO catching a glance of my gun and pulling his to "feel" safe. I'll be keeping all the information above board and out in the open so that neither of us are surprised.
that is my plan. to each his own.

I just let them know
rather get hassled than shot lol

I didn't realize I didn't have to inform the police of my CCW in Missouri.
I was trained to put both hands outside the window (dome light on at night) and to tell the officer I hold a concealed carry permit and I am armed. Then to follow his/her instructions.
I serve as a chaplain for my county police, so I think about things from the LEO's perspective. They do not assume you are harmless with or without a permit.

In my state I'm not required to inform, and I don't. How's that for amazing....

If they run your drivers license it is the first thing that pops up. They know about your CCP.

In AZ the LEO already knows when he or she runs your plate. So I would inform regardless just as a courtesy. Glad it worked out for you though.

Informing the LEO is a good idea. Put yourself in there shoes for a moment and you might understand. To the OP, im glad you didnt get a ticket, outside of that, It was just a traffic stop

I would do everything EXCEPT place my hands out the window.
put them on the top of the wheel.
out the window LOOKS like you know felony stops forward and backward. "is he an ex-con?" would be my thought.

What I find amazing is that you drove through Florissant and didn't get shot!

Here in Missouri your CCW will show up when your driver license is ran, it will NOT show up when your license plate is ran. We also can have our CCW put on a non-driver license ( State I D) which is tied to your driver license, same number, it will show up. The OP could have a non-residence permit, which would not show up.
Also here in Missouri you can carry a concealed firearm in your vehicle or on your person, in your vehicle, without a permit, just don't get out of your vehicle with the firearm on your person. (Must have a permit) or OC.

Good point. I know a guy who has an out-of-state permit for that very reason.
