    Florida Dept of AG

Florida Dept of AG cashed my check on the 29th of May 2009. When I search for my status on their website, Division of Licensing - Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services I do not show up. I am at 2 months 3 days. Does anyone know when your name shows up on the site?

    Regards
    Rick

You can pretty much count on 110-120 days from the time you sent in your app.

Your name won't show up. Concealed permits are not public record. My permit took 111 days mailbox to mailbox.

Mine took about three months - it may have been longer - cant exactly remember - they are being swamped with out of state applications for non resident permits and are not prioritising for Florida residents - I am all for non res permits but they should be looking after us first.

+1 - they should take care of the residents first.

Do you really think that would speed up the process? Less out of state requests would probably lead to less people processing the applicatons.

Why does the Department of agriculture get the check in Florida? In Kentucky you have 2 checks one to the local sheriff and one to the state police. Agriculture just seems odd maybe the concealed carry licenses grow on trees next to the oranges. :)

I believe they gave the issuing authority to the Dept. Of Agric. because they didn't want law enforcement to be involved.
Look at some states where the local sheriff can screw around with your app.
