Yes, as a police officer of 20 years, I carry on a daily basis. I also encourage my CCW students as well as officers to carry a "backup gun" as well as at least one edged weapon. I have had three firearms malfunction on me (fortunately during training). Two were semi-automatics and one was a revolver. Pieces actually broke and took the weapon completely out of service. I've had a couple of other officer have weapons malfunction during training/requalifications and their weapons were taken out of service completely. I encourage a secondary firearm.

Stupidity cannot be cured with money, or through education, or by legislation. Stupidity is not a sin, the victim can't help being stupid. But stupidity is the only universal capital crime; the sentence is death, there is no appeal and execution is carried out automatically and without pity.

When I can, I will carry 2 guns. This means on days off. When I work I only carry my 632 in right front pocket.

When I double up, I put the XD45 on the hip and the snubby moves to left front pocket.

    It Changes...
My opinion is that if you are not a Police officer carrying more than two pistols will open up a can of worms if you ever have to pull the trigger. Now, I know people will say well the lawyers are going to be trying to make you look bad anyway. However, I don't think I will help him as a civilian by carrying more than one gun. In my opinion as a civilian I am fine with one primary.

Always two, usually three. Leaving for church in a few minutes, three guns.

Live in a quiet town of about 20K.

I have seen every gun made fail at least once. Spent thousands of hours shooting, watching others shoot, running matchs, training, etc.

They all fail for some reason at some point. Murphy is alive and well!!
    Keep the shotgun handy!!

For me it's getting more and more usual to pop in a j-frame along with the primary CCW.

The other day I carried 6 defensive-caliber guns around for the afternoon just to see if it was possible. No problems at all, went to the mall, played guitar hero in a game store, got my glasses lenses replaced, etc. etc. Clothes were just jeans, button down shirt and a leather jacket.

My daily carry combo is a Sig 226 and a Sig 239. I used to carry a S&W 296 as a BUG but the 239 is smaller profile in the pocket.
Driver carries less than $45 worth of remorse.

I don't carry a second pistol on my person , I usually carry a knife on my weak side. I do carry a second pistol, or rifle, in my vehicle though.
