What nonresident CCW is best to have?
I live in Florida and have a CCW permit here, other than my home state permit, whats the best nonresident permit to have that will give me some states not currently covered by my Florida resident permit? is there one that is honored in Nevada? If not is it legal to have a handgun in Nevada,or have it loaded in your car as a nonresident? Thanks for any help guys.

Both UT and FL are good...already living in FL...go for UT.
Forget NV...

I think that completely depends on where you tend to go. The only two states I go to (or have any real desire to go to) where my Florida CWP is not honored are Maine and Massachusetts... and given the choice I'll probably go for Maine.
Get the permit for where you need to go, not what will give you the most coverage.

Click on "Create License Map" on the left.
You'll find that the only additional states you'll get with Utah are Washington and Minnesota. Nevada had reciprocity with Utah until about a month ago. Apparently they dropped it because Utah does not require range time for a permit.

I would go with Utah. I have my home state Colorado permit plus a non-resident from UT. That makes me good to go in most places I care to visit.

I agree with Utah, Im applying for their non-res as well as floridas. I wouldn't even mess with Utah's if It weren't for the high likelyhood that I travel to WA

Given the choice between Maine and Mass., I certainly hope that you choose Maine every time. :)
We're MUCH friendlier in Maine .

Ha! yes you are! I have a soft spot for Maine...Just a little story....On my way home from Iraq in late 2003, Bangor Main was our first stop in the US.....the welcoming we recieved still brings tears to my eyes.... some great American Patriots and Vets showed up, and in a small airport like that, it seemed like we were in one of the biggest cities in the country! -God Bless-

A bunch of guys in my Academy class are from Maine. Some of them were really good guys. A couple of them couldn't speak Spanish to save their lives though.
Sorry for the side topic.
