The power of imagination is the key to life.
It helps you think ahead, consider the possibilities, and prepare you for the future.
If you lack that ability, you're no different from livestock trapped behind a fence.
John Ross would say yes, but he's rich and has good lawyers. I wouldn't.
Why you find it necessary to get smart with me is beyond me.
Go ahead and carry the 50ca. It may just be the thing for your personality and ego. Most CCW'ers work on their skills of "de-escalation" and avoid trouble at all costs, but you won't have to worry about that, cause you got a 50.
An ounce of lead is worth 200lbs of cop.
Excellent choice of CCW guns. If you can carry it, then by all means do so.
What kind of rifle will you carry?
I can't imagine a worse choice for CCW.
- Limited ammo
- Massive shot to shot recovery
- Massive overpenetration issues
- Deafening report
- Blinding muzzle flash
The only reason to CCW one of these is to show off and then it isn't really concealled, is it.
I'll refrain from saying the rest of what I think so that I don't violate forum decorum.
I've just got to wonder about how this question ever came up to begin with? What is it that ever led the OP to think it might be a good idea? Is there a case of anyone here carrying a .50 for a CCW?

I did CCW a 4" S&W 629 last week. However, this was after a camping trip where I was wearing it in the back country. When I drove home, I switched to .44 Special loads and just CCW'd it instead of changing guns.
Even that isn't a very ideal CCW gun. Handling a gun as heavy as a 629 in a hurry wouldn't be easy. A .500 would be much worse in all the ways discussed.
I'm in with the "against it" crowd for all the reasons cited. Its a narrow niched brown bear gun designed with something entirely different in mind than what someone considering carrying a general-purpose concealed weapon should be concerned with.
God, country, family.
We now have 74 (nope...75!) posts on an extreme, ill-advised, unresearched choice of CCW. We've got wayyyy to much time on our hands!
