Bursa Thunder 380 IWB, S&W 642 in left front pocket, and a folder in my right front pocket. The quiet neighborhood I moved into 20 years ago has changed a bit. There are gang signs visible. The next door neighbor has a bedroom window screen that's been cut. I have replaced several window screens where someone has checked to see if the windows are locked. I carry when I leave the house, even if it's just to the mail box. Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean there's no BG around.

My wife open carries with a belt holster while on her zero-turn Kubota.

I open carry with a 'tanker' chest holster while mowing on the bigger tractors.....The sweat stains add 'character'.....

Needless to say we don't live in a neighborhood.....we don't have neighbors.......

Might as well carry a shotgun - snakes! Nobody would think that was odd.

When I am home, whether inside or out doing yard work, I normally open carry.
Either my PT1911 or the PT24/7 Pro DS in .40 S&W.
Plenty of neighbors, but they don't care. Found it keeps the skateboarders out of our driveway as a side benefit.

I don't carry when I mow because nothing bad will ever happen to me in my own yard.

.....I carry my normal edc in an IWB. It keeps the grass out.

As a side note I have a friend who keeps his gun in his truck and says he'd feel stupid if he carried a gun while mowing his yard. This even after LEOs chased a methcooker through his subdivision last year. They caught him next door, still armed. But he'd feel stupid with a gun in his yard...

    To each his own.

I don't carry when I mow my lawn. My Son-in-Law mows the lawn and he carries.

I am carrying now, but I am only watering the lawn.

There's a pack of fox out in the woods. In the past 2 years, they've gotten 6 of my chickens. There's also Copperheads out there. I've heard talk that coyotes and bears are moving closer. So yup 1911 and/or 12ga, depending on the task I'm tackling. Out here in the country, we've got issues folks in the suburbs/cities don't have to deal with.

We have people knocking on the door every Saturday looking for work, wanting to trim our palm trees and preform other services. The local LEOS informed our neighborhood that houses have been cased and robbed at a later date. I don't think it's to paranoid to be armed when working outside.
