Feel sorry for you all that have those long waits. In Clay County Missouri, I went in on a Monday to fill out the paper work at the Sheriff's dept. By that next Monday (7 full days), they called and said come pick it up. I just don't see how it takes any of them 5-6 months to do a background check.

    Question Question...

    Just curious...

If your state ( say PA ) has a reciprocity agreement with Florida, and visa versa, why do you want or need a carry permit for Florida ?

    Am I missing something ?

After 83 days they tell me the finger prints are not good enough and I have 30 days from the 15th of August to get a new scan. I am out of town, and the earliest time I can get it done is Tuesday the 15th of September. The 31st day after the letter. I could spit Nails. What really is upsetting is the fact that 2A has already given me my permit.

I sure wish FL would get with the program and recognize non res permits or issue NR permits to non permanent US citizen residents. We have visited FL for the last time until I can carry there as the last time we were in Orlando I had a huge revolver stuck in my nose by a whacko at a traffic light. Not that I would have used lethal force but I think unholstering a nice shiny .45 and letting him see it before he made his way to my car would have changed the situation a bit.
