If it isn't loaded it is just a paperweight.

    Loaded?
I know of no other way to carry.
    If I wanted to carry a brick I wouldn't need a permit

I carry my 1911's in condition 1. My nephew (32 y/o) asked me ... "you carry that thing cocked?"

I would have to trust the gun to carry loaded in condition 1, a 1911 platform has proven itself over the past almost hundred years that it is safe to carry this way. A different type of gun would have to have my trust to carry with one in the chamber and the hammer back but them again I would not carry it if I did not trust it in the first place.

In other words if you can not trust the gun you carry to be in condition one, then why are you carrying it.

Of course it's loaded. I have no intention of saying, during an attack, "Excuse me - can you hold on for a moment? (Wrack slide). OK. Now - where were we?".

It's the unloaded guns that are dangerous.

People are getting shot all the time with unloaded guns.

If it's on me, it's in condition 0 for my DOA Kahr and LCP. What good what they be otherwise..

Tell her, "Well I could just carry a pocket full of bullets and throw them at a bad guy -- but it's not the same thing IS IT!!"
Walk steathly - and carry a big Springfield.
