If you send a letter to someone else, I would offer it needs to be a similar, but different, letter. If everyone sends the same letter it will, over time, reduce the effectiveness of it.

I'm with everyone else, Euc, great letter!

awesome letter tell them how we feel about being singled out. And theyll start to loose more business. My hats off to you for writing a letter like that.

I wonder if they are under the delusion of thinking that their sign will stop an armed miscreant from entering their theater.

I liked your letter. Personally I would have gone to see the show because the sign displayed applies to everyone without a CCL. If I may offer a small amout of critique on your letter: I would have not included the part about the fire extinguisher and the first aid kit. From my perception, this portion caused a momentary reversal of what is an ever rising delivery of your message.

Euc, that was an extremely well written letter. Thank you for taking the time to address a situation that most of us would have dismissed as irrelavant ( and attended the movie) or gotten mad, left, and then complained to everyone and anyone about it except the people who needed to hear about it, the managers and corporate headquarters of Cinemark. Thank you sir and God bless.

This is what I was going to recommend as the only thing the letter lacked, some statement about the fact that criminals definitely won't abide by the rules of that sign, only law abiding citizens.

That was a very well written, well thought out letter. Wish I'd written it!

For the life of me, I simply cannot understand why an insurance carrier would think that they lower their risk of having to pay out a large sum because their client posted a sign keeping guns carried my licensed citizens out of a place of business.

Are there any statistics on such guns being involved in situations that cost them money? Insurance companies claim to base their rates and conditions on statistical analysis, don't they?

It would seem more likely that a situation would occur that they could be "at fault" for denying people the ability to defend themselves, while not taking on the responsibility to defend them.

Almost like, saying you cannot wear a seat belt on a section of road, then having someone suffer an injury that a seat belt would have prevented.

An unlikely thing to happen, but I think it does illustrate the point.
