Opened some eyes, had a CPZ converted
There is a pizza shop near my home, it opened about 5-8 months ago, and has decent food. I have ordered there a couple times, but then out of the blue they had a gunbuster sign. In Ohio, that sign has legal weight. Even though they are a carry out and delivery place, no dine in, I had refused to order there, especially when the place that I think is the best is down the road and does not care of you carry.
Last night, I went in and ordered a pizza, and kindly told the evening manager that I would not be ordering again, and explained why. She said the had a couple others say the same thing to her, but that they legally had to post it
. I informed her that the laws of Ohio dictate what a CPZ is, and they did not fall into that classification. She said she would discuss it with the general manager.
Today, I drove by and the sign was gone.
I felt good, it felt like I did something good for the cause. I used the same conversation at the pharmacy I was getting my childs medication at, spending over 400 a month (ok, insurance paid that, I paid them 24 a month) and they would not budge.

Well done!! Even though I don't carry (yet), I think I may keep a lookout down here & do the same thing where possible. In this part of Louisiana, though, I really don't think many businesses prohibit guns. . . :-)

There are not alot of places locally that are posted anymore, but still there are some. I wish it was the same here as in other states, making the sign a suggestion.

Good job. I think there are some stores that post because they don't know or understand the laws. Those we can make a difference at by doing as you did and educate them. Those that do know and understand the law and still prohibit, well they can learn to do without our money.

That is like the pharmacy I use to visit. The pharmacist stated it was a federal law that prohibited the carry of firearms there. He could not give any other information. The cashier there just said "we dont want guns here" and I just reminded them that one of their other stores had been robbed at gun point, and I dont think the robber read the sign, and made it clear i would not return. They are a mom and pop outfit with 5 stores here. I now use CVS.

Good job on taking the time to explain why you wouldn't shop there.
Now that they have taken the sign down, I hope you make it a point to go back some time and let them know they kept your business.
Well done.

Its a place criminals are free to commit crime because the law abiding citizens are disarmed.

Nice job.
Glad we don't have to pay those pesky signs any mind in the gunshine state.

Isn't it gratifying to get such a positive response when they have the "real" gun facts explained to them?

Texas 30.06 sign
I've been hearing about this sign, which I imagine is the same concept as the gunbusters sign, but haven't seen one. Can someone give me an idea where I might find one online?
Thanks,
Cliff
