Federal law preempts State law. And State law preempts County or Municipal laws.
You still have to register your firearm if you live within Omaha city limits. If you get stopped and you're firearm isn't registered, it's going to the property room.

I saw this recently that Nebraska has now recognized WV. Now if we can get our state to recognize them, that will be a plus.

So, we're (Coloradoans) good to go in Nebraska?

Yes, since 2009 Sep 1.

That reopens part of my travel route between CO and MN. Before I was limited to traveling thru WY and SD to MN. Iowa won't see any of my money until they get their crap together.

I am in Florida and just checked our reciprocity list and I do see that it says as of Sept 4, Nebraska is honored. Here is what I didn't know and I find disturbing:
NOTE: EFFECTIVE July 1, 2009, NEVADA was no longer reciprocal with Florida. Authorities in Nevada notified the Division of Licensing that as of that date Nevada would no longer honor Florida concealed weapon licenses. Therefore, in accordance with the reciprocity provision set forth in section 790.015, Florida Statutes, Florida could no longer honor concealed weapon licenses issued by the State of Nevada.
Doesn't that just suck???

It sure does suck. Nevada no longer honors Utah's permit either.

As near as I can tell, Nevada currently only recognizes permits from:
Alaska, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee & West Virginia. None of those states issue non-resident licenses other than Tennessee & Ohio but both are only under very specific circumstances.
I guess I should be happy that Kansas is one that they do accept.
