Absolutely Likely
Its not like Government Agencies like to Share
I remember a few years ago I was Fingerprinted and Background Checked
at the same time for two different Agencies
Unless of course you find an exception![]()
Yes. More than likely for the reasons Jeff stated.

I wish I didn't have to pay ANOTHER 90.00 to get my Hazmat.!
The wages you'll make with a Hazmat endorsement won't make up for the $90?

Yes you do
I have a CCW & a class A CDL with all endorsements & unfortunately the 2 do not have any thing to do with each other. The government wants fingerprints for the CDL every 2 or 4 years (just went blank) & when i asked about that (because my fingerprints dont change) they said they do not keep them on record, they just run them at the time to look for stuff & then discard. I personally think its all about the money myself. Hope this helps

I will throw this out there . . .
My Ol' lady has a pretty high security clearance. She applied for her Ohio CHL on Friday afternoon. They called her on Monday morning and told her that she could pick her license up.
Took me two weeks.
Coincidence?
Those Gobmt. TS clearances are visible when it comes to things like gun purchases. I don't know exactly why, but I suppose I could speculate.
Years ago, I had a TS clearance and went to Wally's to purchase a shotgun (back when Walmart sold guns) and I was cleared to purchase nearly instantaneously while the local sheriff had been there waiting for an hour to purchase his gun. Sheriff looked at me and asked (humorously) "Who are you?"
I was tempted to say "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you."
but that kind of humor gets lost quickly when you are in the process of buying a gun. So I just said I worked for a Government agency that goes by three letters. He nodded and we exchanged no other words.
Back to OP.
I really like that they (government offices) don't typically share info like that. Can you imagine the abuse that could happen?
Sorry about the cost to us, but I think it is small when compared to the value of our freedom.
Just my 2 cents.............
It’s so much easier now days, to "Love and honor" my wife, when she is armed, and shoots a better group than I do. (Till death do us part, eh?)
“The way you get shot by a concealed weapons permit holder is, you point a gun at him,” the Sheriff said.
Yes they will finger print you again. I had to do it back in May. I also got finger printed for a TWIC card (clears you to get into the ports) a few months back. I got lucky for a change my employer paid for both of them. I say it is all a money racket.
most government agencies don't share info. we adopted 2 girls last year through the foster care system that the state of texas has contoll over. we had to do local, state, and federal background checks. months of back and forth pesronal interviews. our friends had to be interviewed and many other things before we could even start the months of classes that are involved in the adoption process for foster kids and none of that matters with the department that handles the handgun permits.
our schools have to do background checks for parents that want to go on field trips with their kids and help out around the school. i went up there to get mine done and the principle of the school (who knows all about how we adopted our girls) said "out of all of our parents in this school i know you will pass the check, but they make us have everyone do it".
Most likely yes. I have my Colorado POST certification (trying to get a PD to hire me, but I have no LE experience.) which I got fingerprinted for and I still had to get my prints taken for the CCW.
Yep, you sure do. I have a Top Secret DOD clearance along with my CC permit and I still had to get fingerprinted when I renewed my class A license with all endorsements.
IF YOU STAY READY, YOU AIN'T GOT TO GET READY
I would say surely someone would have to.
The government agencies have become very
strict on keeping tabs on Hazmat related stuff
and rightfully so. I work in the shipping business
now and handle hazmats and see flyers posted all
the time about keeping an eye out for any kind of odd
behavior from employees regarding any hazmat. We also
get memos a lot from law enforcement pertaining to hazmat
security updates and tips
