I lived in Nevada for over 3 years and i was under the assumption that in order to obtain a Nevada residency you had to be living and working in the state. Is that correct? I had obtained my dl and also later found out that for some reason my status was not as a resident

(sorry if i am bring back an old thread. I was searching thru the forum trying to find some answers for my ccp)

What makes you think that, "for some reason my status was not as a resident." Once you have a Nevada address and a Nevada DL, IMHO and IANAL, if you say you are a Nevada resident Nevada will agree. Many people who are residents here (including me) do not "work" and we are certainly residents.

I live in NYS and have a CC permit. It is a lot easier upstate. Process takes about 30 to 60 days. I cannot buy a gun out of state directly. I would have to have it sent to a registered dealer. I agree with those who say to get your NY permit. Then everything else is easy. I know have a non res Utah and Florida permit.
