    First day of Carry

I just thought I would tell you guys how my first full day of carry went since getting my CCW...

First a friend and I went to a police supply shop in Aurora because he wanted to get a new handcuff case, so we browsed around for a little while, they didn't have the EDC flashlight I wanted in stock (Streamlight TL-2) so I left empty handed.

Next, we decided that a trip to Bass Pro Shop was in order since we were near by. I ended up buying some new flies for fly fishing. We walked around for about an hour, looked at the huge native aquarium they have, and went to the firearms area, no practice ammo, they did have some of the Winchester bonded ammo, but it was more expensive than ammo to go, and I like to carry Speer Gold Dots.

After Bass Pro we went to Del Taco for lunch. We decided to eat there since I don't like to eat and drive.

Now for the Wally Walk. I didn't get nacho's since we just ate burritos and I was full. I didn't like any of the shirts they had. The ammo shelves were bare except for .38 special and .357 Sig. I was looking for some 9mm for my 659. We then headed over to the movies. I didn't find anything that appealed to me, I was looking for The Departed but sadly, they didn't have it.

We decided that since we met at the store we both work loss prevention at that we would go in and say hi. We chatted for about 20 minutes, and no one noticed any odd bulges and if they did, they didn't say anything.

Overall I think it was a successful first day of carry out in public for 5-6 hours without anyone noticing. I was carrying my S&W M&P40 in a Galco summer comfort IWB. I also had 2 extra magazines on my off-hand side in a Galco DMC Double Magazine Carrier.
