I carry a pistol because I can't fit my rifle in a pocket.

The human species are 'tool users', I try to use the right tool for the job, and plan to have the that tool close at hand when I need it.
Liberty is an inherently offensive lifestyle. Living in a free society guarantees that each one of us will see our most cherished principles and beliefs questioned and in some cases mocked. It's worth it.

    "Why do you carry?"

    Answer? "Because I can."
There are 2 sounds in the world that strike more fear than any others. A click when you should hear a bang and a bang when you should hear a click.

Not that I'm trying to tell you what to do, and I realize you're there and can gauge reactions better then I can sitting behind a screen, but sometimes they need to know about things like that. It helps them understand both you and what you do.

My wife and I were out to dinner with another couple when the conversation turned to guns. Our friends wife asks "Why do you have so many guns?"
(understand that they aren't anti by any stretch but asked why I have so many)

My wife covered her eyes and looked away.............

I took a deep breath and leaned forward ...................and with a straight face said ...............

    "I'm compensating"

We had to leave a good tip for the poor girl who had to clean up that table.
