Voted yes in the poll. Of course, it isn't scientific, and you'll tend to have the majority of MSNBC viewers being antis. It would be a good thing, however, to have lots of pro2A folk jump on the "yes" bandwagon.
One thing I will compliment MSNBC, or rather their website designer, on, is the set up of the comments section. I wish all polls would clearly delineate the positions of the comments, as this one does. It's really a slick way to present the info, instead of just a long, intermingled list.

I voted yes, and I thought this comment made by someone was pretty funny and true!
That means that doofy liberals WON'T be in that bar. And if some crazy starts shooting, there'll be plenty of legally armed citizens to hel

"Only cowards carry guns, legally or illegally "
Then COPS and Solders and Security Guards,Secret Service, are cowards?
WHAT AN STUPID COMMENT!

I'm a coward... At least my family is safer because of my "cowardice." I'm happy to be a "coward" with a "coward" for a wife who will kill any B#$%@#% that tries to rape her rather than lie down and take it. I'm happy to protect my family through my "cowardice."

It's about what you'd expect from a MSNBC poll.
Don't believe what you hear and only half of what you see!

Right ... I took offense to that one too. I have a PhD in chemistry, and it took a lot of hard work and little bit of 'smarts' to get it. And, I'm an NRA Life Member.

I would love to meet the guy who "never met an NRA member with a brain". Since I practice medicine, I hope that I have one. I would be happy to put my IQ against his any day. No real problem when you're comparing against negative numbers.

I voted yes but wow, the comments are really whacked out. Co many stupid, tiny minded libs out there who just think with their emotions and never even try to rationally think things through.
Amazing. No wonder this country has become populated with ready made victims.

Returns were: Yes @ 37.1%
No @ 57.0%
Depends @ 5.9%
That means that 49% voted that they would visit a bar with
legally armed patrons ... and this in an MSNBC poll!

It's sad. The main thing that angers me to no end, though, is that such people dare think that dragging everyone down into the same defenseless pit of victim-hood will make it all better, when in reality, all that will do is to ensure that EVERYONE criminals target will be unarmed and unable to put up an effective defense. That simply makes zero sense.

Well, such victim seekers are looking to achieve much the same thing with the citizenry. If the schmucks just try a bit harder, they'll achieve it all. We cannot allow that to happen.

Agreed, remember we're dealing with sheeple. You'd be surprised what percentage of the no vote would buckle and just brainlessly go along with the majority. Not voting never made anything better. Kinda like elections where we vote for the least crappy choice in order to avoid the worst case scenario. When too many folks who understand this choose to protest by abstaining we then by default get stuck with the worst case scenario.

I definitely wouldn't want people getting sloshed if they were carrying.
But, we expect people not to drink and drive too. I don't see why society should expect any more or less of gun owners. Both cars and guns can kill innocent people when used under the influence. I would want to be sure that neither happens.
