    McCall said he grabbed his gun, ran outside in his underwear and yelled for the burglar to stop before firing two shots in the suspect’s direction, he said.

    Maybe its just me, but I dont see this guy's daughter getting asked to the prom or anything....just sayin.

    Well, I sure know better than to shoot "in the direction" of somebody. If it's worth shooting, I will be shooting at him, thank you very much!

    Forget the permit, he has a right to defend his property! Maybe the liberal paper left out the part about the robber being armed...

    Popping off a 10mm in your subdivision is always real popular with the neighbors. Could have been a bad outcome.

    As long as he didn't damage anything, I wouldn't care... I mean, i bet that group of thieves will be picking targets FAR away from that house... If ever again...

    "In his direction" from 30 yards at a withdrawing (possible) thief in a residential area is the definition of reckless...and would be hard to defend even here in S. Oregon where we take home defense seriously.

    Just my opinion...

    Just a pet peeve;

    Robbery; the act or practice of robbing; specifically: larceny from the person or presence of another by violence or threat.

    Burglary; the act of entering a structure to commit another crime, typically a theft.

    In OUR CCW training, in the state of Ohio: You DO NOT have the right to shoot at people outside to defend property, especially unarmed people in the dark who are not threatening or shooting at you. I am glad that he was not prosecuted or punished, save for a tongue lashing and not a pleasant one for using his gun.

    Good thing he wasn't in Ohio then, huh...

    And charges can still be pressed from the article I glanced at earlier...
