Hey, since I'm still researching which gun I want, I obviously don't carry extra mags, but I did have a question and this thread reminded me of it. I've been searching for INSIDE the waistband magazine holders and can't find any. Anyone else know where to find them? Thanks.

    Weak side rear pocket.

During tactical reloads partially spent magazines go weak side front pocket.

I've noticed, as I started carrying that I no longer keep other crap in my pockets.

I used a nylon belt pouch for mine, and had to replace recently. Hard to find a mag pouch that does not look like a mag pouch. Thank the gods for army surplus stores.

I also carry one extra magazine in a belt pouch designed for a cell phone. So far it's working very well.

    No spare magazines

Soldiers (SSAMs) need extra mags. More is better. No such thing as a 'spare.'

Police officers need spare magazines in case they are called to an on-going violent scene, or back-to-back scenes.

I no longer work in either capacity. I'm not trying to get into a gunfight, and if one comes my way, I am not planning to stay there. My goal is to get away without shooting. Spare magazines would just slow me down.

That said, my EDC already has twice the capacity of a standard 1911.

At home is a different story. Those aren't spares on the table, they're reloads, but I don't have to carry them around.

Since I carry a Kahr PM9, the extra fits in my other pocket of my cargo shorts.

    mag. carry

i carry mine on my suspenders in kydex magpouches designed for belt use. I have them upside down, so all I have to do is pull the flap(velcro) and the mag drops into my hand. Always have suspenders on as I have no butt to hold up my 1911 along with a large lockback in a pouch,a Leatherman, and a tactical light all on my belt
